ER drabblers

The florescent lights were harsher than usual. The stark green walls, uglier than usual. Staff members came and went, looking more disgruntled than usual.

Mark sat and held Ella in his tired arms. Obviously, visiting hours didn’t apply to him. Not at his hospital. Not when it was his daughter’s life on the line. Actually, he had two daughter’s lives on the line. Because Elizabeth might kill Rachel any minute. For putting Ella at risk. But Rachel is just a child too. His child. His two girls.

This is what goes through his mind at 3 am, in the NICU.

Challenge: Babies
Fandom Set-Up: ER (when Mark’s baby Ella is hospitalized when his teenaged daughter drops ecstasy in her crib –yea, opps)
Word Count: 100 exactly.

Blast from the past, I know. But this eppie was on re-run last night after Saterday Night Live :-)
