Yeah, so I'm a little late. So? :-P

Hope everyone is having a safe and warm holiday season.

Christmas is really about a baby, isn't it? Hence our new challenge:

Babies. All things Season 10 should go in cut tags, por favor. Happy drabbling!

Occupational hazards.

Write, people! ;-)

That new challenge makes room for plenty of interpretations (at least, in my mind)--romantic dinners, or even a patient with poisoning (WOOOOO!!!! AKEE FRUIT!!!!). ;)

I'm feeling kinda hyper right now, but any comments, suggestions are always welcome.

Hello, all. First off, props to Tatas for her little contribution. :-)

This week's challenge is inspired by last night's (October 8) episode of "Ed", though you may also pick a past challenge instead if you'd like.

So go. Run with a dream.

ER drabblers

In an attempt to get this community going again, I've written a half-assed drabble. (Or drabble and a half, depending on how you look at it. *g*)

Title: By the Book (original, I know *g*)
Category: Dave/Abby, just because
Rating: PG-13 for language
Word Count: 150

She was dead. All because of stupid fucking rules and procedures. Because everything always had to be done by the book. He wished he could find that book, light the fucking thing on fire and piss all over it. Along with that little girl's father, the same person who'd murdered her.

"Kicking yourself isn't going to solve anything." There she was. The saintly nurse, always ready to fix other people's problems and ignore her own. He let her know it. She laughed. "That's clever."

"You should be." She moved closer, took his hand. He'd started to grow on her, until she finally gave in to temptation and began dating him. "I'm sorry, too. We can only control what we can control."

"I wish it was that simple." He squeezed her hand. "Thanks, Abby. I really am sorry."

"It's okay." She grinned. "You're always a jerk. I'm used to it."

By the book.

Not sure myself how to work with that, but I know you kids will find a way around it.

Feel free to respond to any past challenges if you'd like.

Wake up and smell the new season!

With that in mind, this week's challenge is "New Beginnings". Do something over or make something up.

Happy drabbling.
